I imaged a loose MSX cassette titled `ゼクサス光速2000光年` (Zexas: Kousoku: 2000-kounen, i.e. "Zexas: Speed of Light: 2000 Light Years") containing dB-Soft/デービーソフト's tape release of Zexas. The game is written four times on this tape: twice on Side A, and twice on Side B. The two copies on side A differ very slightly in an unused field of the header portion of the second, BLOAD'able file but the main game binary is identical. Side B is a copy of Side A. The first copy of the software on each side of this tape mostly matches versions previously catalogued by others as `Zexas (1984)(dB-Soft)[CLOAD + RUN]` except that the first-stage loader is stored as "ASCII" BASIC text - with file name `ZEXAS` - on my type, necessitating a different loading step (RUN rather than CLOAD+RUN) and also the message printed by the first-stage loader found four times on my copy prints `ﾛ-ﾄﾞ ﾁｭｳ` with a hyphen/minus sign `-` between the first and third characters, whereas the previously catalogued version prints `ﾛｰﾄﾞ ﾁｭｳ` with the expected kana proper prolonged sound mark `ｰ` in that position. The game is loaded using `RUN"CAS:"` which loads and executes a small BASIC first-stage loader with tape file name `ZEXAS`. That then loads - using BLOAD - and executes the main game binary, also with tape file name `ZEXAS`. The code `MS-G0095` is written on the tape Side A label. This may be a catalogue identifier or product identifier of some kind. On the spine of the cassette the code `MS954A12` is stamped, and this may be a copy serial number of some kind.

CAS image fingerprint for the two versions of the software found on this tape:

Raw 24-bit stereo 44100 Hz FLAC audio was imaged using a Nakamichi BX-125 tape deck and a Steinberg UR22mkII USB ADC with Audacity under Win11 and is intended to be archival, CAS is for emulator use, and WAV is regenerated from CAS for the benefit of an actual MSX. Short filenames and long ones contain the same data.
